Pioneers in Reproductive Medicine
Cegyr (Centro de Estudios en Ginecología y Reproducción) (Center for the Study of Gynaecology and Reproduction) was created in September 1983 with the main objective of promoting excellence in Reproductive Medicine.
From the beginning, we have developed an intense medical-assistential activity, especially dedicated to problems in the areas of gynaecology, obstetrics, andrology, urology, and surgery, focusing particularly on human reproduction.
Our task is highly recognized nationwide and throughout Latin America as a result of the leadership we have achieved, constituting the main referent of Assisted Reproduction Centers nationwide and throughout Latin America.
Achievements that prove our leadership:
- We are the first multidisciplinary Reproductive Medicine Center in Argentina.
- We achieved our first birth in our country using the In Vitro Fertilization technique.
- We achieved the first pregnancy with the ICSI technique.
- We reported the first pregnancies after implementing the ICSI technique with sperm extracted directly from the testicle.
- We are leaders in the Preimplantational Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
