Egg Donors’ “More Life” Program
As a rule, at some point of each woman’s life, the unique and indescribable desire to become a mother arouses. The decision is just made and the trip to motherhood is started as dictated by nature. In some cases, however, this private process of each woman does not achieve the expected pregnancy and many of these sad hearts have no other alternatives than the ones offered by science. But, in spite of medical advances, the possibility to achieve pregnancy often comes from another anonymus, supportive woman who voluntarily brings her closer to the dream of becoming a mother.
If you want to be part of this dream, and you are between 21 and 34 years old, we invite you to join the informative talk on oocyte donation, which takes place on Thursdays at 2 pm in our facilities. There, you will be informed of the requirements to join the program, its objective and the steps to be followed.
It is not necessary to confirm attendance, and your participation does not imply any kind of commitment. The idea is to inform you on how the program works and to answer your questions. .Requirements to Join the “More Life” Program
If, after the talk, you are interested in joining the program, you will be evaluated by the institution’s the psychology team and the oocyte program coordinator. The evaluation includes:
- A questionnaire on your history of genetically transmitted diseases and on your first and second degree relatives.
- Karyotype in blood.
- Identification of the most common mutation of fibrocystic disease.
- Infection studies (HIV (AIDS), syphilis, hepatitis B and C).
- Clinical studies and análisis.
- Blood type.
- Gynecological studies (Pap smear and transvaginal ultrasound).
- Psychological consultation and personality test.
If the outcome is in accordance with the established medical parameters, you will be able to participate in the program by signing an informed consent and you will be in an institutional record where your medical history is filed together with your personal data, your picture, your physical features, and your psychological evaluation.
